Role: Property Manager

Reports to: Regional Manager

Job Type: Full Time, Onsite

Location: Des Moines, IA

SUMMARY --

The Property Manager will be in charge of facilitating multiple projects across our portfolio. They will be an expert in vendor negotiations and management. Property Manager is responsible for coordinating the move-in and move-out process with residents including assessing and documenting the state of each unit, hiring vendors, and completing inspections.

RESPONSIBILITIES –

  • Oversee all aspects of resident move-ins and move-outs
  • Conduct compliance walks: walking resident units and ensuring lease compliance
  • Facilitate vendor negotiations, billing, and documentation
  • Assist when needed with former resident trash outs and unit cleaning
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure a smooth timeline for resident move-ins and move-outs
  • Conduct property inspections for properties we have not yet acquired
  • Work with city inspectors and walking units to ensure all legal and safety compliance needs are met
  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS --

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a project coordinator role 
  • Previous, proven experience with vendor management
  • Associate Degree in Business, or similar field of study, or equivalent in experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral communications
  • Strong proficiency in Excel Spreadsheets
  • The ability to utilize decision-making and problem-solving skills
